This website discussed the effects of the Immigration Act. This secondary source greatly aided in our research because it talked about both short and long term effects of the Immigration Act which taught us what it did immediately and also what it is still doing for our nation today.

This was an online book that explained the Immigration Law and what benefits were happening economically from immigrants coming to the US. This book was a valuable secondary source to our research because it gave examples of how and why immigrants are important to our society today.

Statistics and numbers are a big part of researching, especially when it comes to the number of immigrants over the years. This article was important because it gave us a graph and other statistics to work with. We also were able to understand how the levels of immigrants of different nationalities changed before and after the Immigration Act was signed.

This secondary source talked about the bills involving immigration leading up to the Immigration Act. This website also talked about the ultimate reason that the 1924 Immigration Act was signed. This source was important for our research process because it gave us historically accurate information about the National Origins Quota Act.

Understanding how the Immigration Act of 1965 changed lives was one of the main ideas in our project, so this article was very helpful. The article goes into depth about how life was for immigrants before and after the Act was passed. This was very helpful while researching our project.

Even though this was a secondary source, it proved to be very helpful. This article provided us with background knowledge about what was going on in the 1960s. It also taught us about what the act did, and how the act has been adjusted since 1965.

This was an online chapter that condensed what the Immigration Act of 1965 did. This was helpful because many articles and sources will draw out what it is saying and that makes it difficult to understand. This book chapter was helpful because it was straightforward and was very informative.

Finding the impact of the Immigration Act of 1965 was one of the most important parts of this project, and this article helped with that. We learned more about how the Immigration Act changed lives, and how it also resulted in unintended consequences.
